Representaion As Books Songbird

Teya is desperate. Caught by the King and held for her magical singing abilities, she is ready to do anything to escape, or die trying. When her own plans fail, an ambassador from another country unexpectedly offers her a chance at freedom. All she must do is take him to her homeland. It sounds too good to be true, and she realizes she might only be exchanging one prison for another. When she challenges the ambassador, Bran, to remove her kundar, the hated collar that keeps her magic in check, he hesitates. She is a beautiful, exotic creature, but from the rumors he's heard, the collar is the only thing that will keep her from turning on him, and he needs her help to find the elixir sym, that threatens to destroy his country. A precarious alliance forms between them, and their journey begins. But it quickly becomes filled with treachery and deceit. Teya must learn who she really is, for if she fails, her people and the magic they weld are lost forever. Now, as she nears the completion of her journey, she realizes the path she is destined to take will also tear her from the man she loves. Can she give up everything she is for him?

Evaluation About Books Songbird
I really liked this book! I would give it 5 stars but there were some writing glitches and a couple things that held me back. The main characters really held the story for me. You grow to love them and it makes a you be able to look past technicalities. She was not perfect and struggled with herself threw the whole book and it makes this well rounded character you can't help but like. The love story was so beautiful, the magic was great and the bad guys really bad. This was just a good story

A wonderful, imaginative book! What on earth was the publisher thinking though!? I felt like the slowest reader while going through this book because the print was so ridiculously cramped and small. Also, I may not have picked up this book just because of the cover art. Thankfully I didn't judge a book by its cover but that picture on the front is just horrible. I never took it with me in public and whenever I left it around the house, placed it with the cover facing down because I was so

If you are expecting a fantasy romance with a happily ever after ending, this Songbird will make you work for it. Magically paranormal fantasy romance with endless twists, turns, danger and setbacks.Kidnapped at the tender age of ten years, Teya was not even aware of her magical abilities. She comes from a peaceful people, the Kalorian race. Her magical potential is sought after by the leaders of neighboring countries and her kidnapping is part of political strategy. The full story begins ten

I liked the book. Didn't love it, but liked it. I think I might have had too high of expectations after reading a review in the sunday paper. This is a "print on demand book" so I had to order it and wait for it to arrive. I got frustrated when I was reading it because I wanted Teya to be a stronger heroine, less easy to intimidate and manipulate. I realize that the writer was holding out for the big climax, but I got a little annoyed along the way. There are a few inconsistencies with the

Loved the book! At first, I couldn't quite decide where it was going, but as I read more, I found myself surprised as to it's direction. I couldn't put it down because it really caught my interest and I really anticipated the action to come. I have read a lot of fantasy, science fiction and romance novels and I was very satisfied when Songbird came to the end (even though I didn't want it to end). The story was engaging and different and I appreciated the magic being held in the music. As a

Kidnapped at an early age, Teya knows she weaves magic when she sings. She has no idea how strong her magic is as the kundar around her neck prevents her from using it to its full extent.Teya is a wonderful young woman. Her upbringing has made her naive and her unexpected escape leads her into silly mistakes. Exactly what youd expect from someone whod been in captivity for most of her adolescence.Bran is the Braemar ambassador to the Old Country. Braemar society runs on technology whereas the

me, seeing that this blurb has the line 'Now, as she nears the completion of her journey, she realizes the path she is destined to take will also tear her from the man she loves. Can she give up everything she is for him?' and instantly angered about women dropping everything for men regardless of love or not:
