The first book in The Shades of London series, The Name of the Star sucked me right in and held tightly. I have never been so thrilled to have the next book-in-the-series- already on hand. The main character was funny and she didn't take herself too seriously, and acted in a way that seemed completely realistic for a young adult in that situation.
