In the fourth installment of the Star-Crossed Series, we find Eden Matthews a prisoner in the very household she set out to destroy. She is without magic and engaged to the same boy who betrayed her and everyone she loves.
With her wedding looming on the horizon, conditions for her people continue to worsen and her goal of offering her kingdom freedom seems further away than ever.
Her brother is free however, and building a Rebellion that hopes to rescue her. Eden's parents are working with the Resistance and inside the Citadel Eden finds more allies than she thought possible.
However, there is more at stake for Eden than just an unwanted marriage. Her heart is on the line too, as she fights the pressures of palace life, the prejudice ingrained in her people and a seemingly unbeatable king.
The Star-Crossed Series continues in book 5 with The Reluctant King.

This book seemed like it would never end. I really liked the first couple of books in the series but this one dragged on and was soooo boring. I feel like if the book was about 100 pages shorter it would be a lot better. There were some parts that honestly so unescary and did nothing to the plot. Pretty much most of the book is just Eden whining about how she doesn't love Kiran and it is so frustrating. Quite a disappointing end to a series that really had great potential.Oh...what a frigging roller coaster. I was cursing Rachel (In a nice and completely sweet way) at some parts and then jumping up and down and messaging my friend who hooked me on the series to begin with! This book was good. Very good, extremely good. I have never had a book that had me so, so mad before and then turned around and made it awesome. About 70% through the book, I was ready to call Rachel on the phone and yell at her! :) But she is a genius with words and making you feel exactly
Yes Rachel, Im giving you 4-stars for ending it! I felt hollow inside when it ended. Like a friend who moved and and will never return. Got me all sentimental about it now. But it was a awesome read! the Star-crossed series are up there with my favorite series. I love it more than Twilight and Hunger Games. It's right up there with Harry Potter!

I am just so glad that Eden and Kiran finally married. Ay Lucan he just went stir crazy for power. I thought about the part of her parents was just too quick like it really wasnt fair that they died so quickly after all the time they were in hiding and just all of the sudden came out and the king just kills them both ugh I didnt really like that. I liked that Talbot and Lilly finally were able to be together and even Sebastian and Serafina I thought that towards the end all of them came together
I loved the first three books in this series! I loved Kiran and I loved Jericho and I really liked Eden. I inhaled this series like it was air, I enjoyed discovering this new world of immortals with Eden as well as her struggle to fit in.Even with all that I have to say that this book was a bit of a let down, I expected the author to give us more hints of what the resistance was up to! What were their goals.... in short I expected the resistance to be more that just some fuzzy back drop!I also
A happy ending for an amazing adventure
Eden is still being held "captive" in Lucan's castle, where she has to pretend to be in love with Prince Kiran while Avalon and the Resistance figure out a plan to rescue her and kill the king. Well, Eden and Kiran pretend to be in love while pretending NOT to be in love. It is pretty clear that they both still harbor feelings for each other, but Eden is stubborn and won't forgive him for the past. She is also conflicted about her feelings for Jericho. Meanwhile, King Lucan starts accumulating
