well, I don't know where exactly should I start... it's a very lightweight book, there's no connection in the messages that the author wants to deliver, not to mention that the characters are poorly drawn.the book's subject itself is unorganized; u find tge writer jumping from one topic to another without tackling each one properly, it's as if he's showing off with some geographical, religious, political and historical info in a book made of 250 pages of pure jumbled tedious thoughts!I believeboring
the flow of the story is amazing, the way it's written is beautiful. how he described the feelings and situations was simply brilliant. he managed to merge some of the events that happened to verses of the Quraan and he used really beautiful metaphors for that. i found the ending a bit strange and maybe not justified but i loved the book anyhow. the words, the phrases, the plot,....
Youssef Zidan portrayed the struggles of a man, whose only aim was to live happily and in contact wid God, in a way that shows how reality is cruel, and how we can be destined to suffer forever just because OTHERS have chosen this for us.
it is highly recommended to read it.
I expected better of the Author especially after the last two novels that I enjoyed and loved, anyone could've written this novel, even the whole buzz around the new Image off Bin Laden was mentioned as much as twice in the whole book.Waiting for the next book.
Though all human-being's vulnerabilities n tragedies threaded across the lines of this deep novel, Yet it keeps impressing me till the last word with its quick attractive incidents and how beautifully they were described..!Gratitude goes here, with no surprise, to the mature-eloquent author 'Yossef Ziddan'..! مُحال 4 stars
