Relation Concering Books Malgudi Schooldays: The Adventures Of Swami And His Friends

This book had been in my to-read list for a long, long time and finally, after many years, I got the opportunity to read it and without doubt, it has lived up to its potential! There can never be a book like this one, with simplicity and nostalgia wrapped in every sentence and every incident relating to the innermost core of the heart. But just reading this book is not sufficient. The television series is a perfect companion after reading R.K Narayan’s books and deserves an award of its own!

Criticize Epithetical Books Malgudi Schooldays: The Adventures Of Swami And His Friends
Revisiting a childhood favorite. The language is easy and relatable and the story sweet.

Amazing book! What a funny way to portray the life of a kid! Would definitely recommend!

This book took me back to childhood, full of innocence and exaggerated drama. Swami's imagination, his inability to do Math, his hatred for school and his loyalty to his friends are some examples of relatable nostalgia. I also have a soft corner for the novel's characters and it's setting. The book reminds me of simpler times and even simpler people, an era that's missing and grossly required in today's world.

bedtime reads... to remember my childhood days when i used to see the serial... while reading about swaminathan I can always remember my childhood days. RK Narayanan captured the childrens quirks and emotions so beautifully and in great detail too.

Two things. Either I should've read Swami and Friends instead of this slightly abridged version.Or, I'm reading this ten years too late.Slow, unrewarding book.

remember you your childhood.....

A wonderful book for all ages. The writing style was great, the formatting and illustrations are also commendable. I will definitely recommend people to read this book .It is a great read..
